Merchandise Proposals
As the PR and Promotions Manager, I spearheaded merchandising proposals for DIG and DIG En Español.
As the PR and Promotions Manager for both DIG and DIG En Español, I led efforts to elevate brand visibility, engagement, and profitability through strategic events and merchandise. My role spanned product development, vendor negotiations, and on-campus activations that positioned the publications as recognizable and valued student media brands.
I identified merchandise that resonated most with students and faculty, negotiated competitive pricing with printing companies, and oversaw production to ensure high-quality, on-brand products. By managing budgets carefully and prioritizing items with strong appeal, I generated merchandise sales that not only promoted the magazines but also contributed to their financial sustainability.
To further build awareness, I coordinated campus-wide promotional events and tabling efforts that increased readership and strengthened community engagement. These initiatives drove visibility for both DIG and DIG En Español, solidifying their presence across campus and fostering loyalty among a diverse audience.
This role sharpened my skills in brand management, vendor relations, event promotion, and audience engagement, while reinforcing the importance of aligning creative strategy with measurable business outcomes.
